CYDC Announced as Grant Recipient in Attorney General Press Conference

NORTH CHARLESTON- State Attorney General Alan Wilson held a news conference Wednesday afternoon at the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office announcing $9.4 million in VOCA (Victims of Crime Act) Grant funds to be distributed among victim service providers and victim advocates in the Lowcountry, including Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC) in Charleston County. CYDC will receive $300,000 in support of enhancing and expanding our efforts to provide 24/7 life-changing care to child victims of abuse and neglect and develop the individualized care plans that help our children begin the healing process.

Agencies will be receiving the grant funds on October 1.
