Heron Microschool

Heron Microschool

Through Landmarks for Families’ partnership with Heron Virtual Academy, students complete virtual coursework in a dedicated classroom at Landmarks. A learning coach and Family Teacher provide individualized academic assistance, structure, encouragement, and accountability while helping each student follow an educational plan tailored to their specific needs.

The microschool’s trauma-focused approach recognizes that students may need different levels of flexibility and support to succeed.  Individualized academic planning and one-on-one guidance help students address learning gaps, recover credits, and work toward on-time graduation. A high school diploma can open pathways to college, career training, employment, and greater independence.

Eligibility

The Heron Microschool serves eligible high-school students whose educational needs can be supported through Heron Virtual Academy and the Landmarks for Families microschool setting.
