Residential Services
Landmarks for Families provides temporary and longer-term residential care through two cottages on our North Charleston campus: Ledford House and NuHouse. Ledford House serves high-school-aged youth in foster care, while NuHouse provides transitional residential care for older youth preparing for adulthood.
Our trauma-informed residential programs use the evidence-based Teaching Family Model to provide comprehensive, individualized support for each youth’s educational, emotional, physical, and social needs. We work closely with youth, families, the South Carolina Department of Social Services, and other members of each youth’s support team to connect youth with supportive relationships, skills, resources, and opportunities. The length of stay is based on each youth’s individual needs, circumstances, and placement plan.
Eligibility:
Youth must be referred through the South Carolina Department of Social Services and meet the admission requirements for Ledford House or NuHouse.
