NuHouse
NuHouse is a transitional residential program located on the Landmarks for Families North Charleston campus for youth ages 17–21 who are preparing to transition from foster care into adulthood. Youth receive individualized guidance while practicing skills related to education, employment, budgeting, cooking, household management, transportation, healthcare, and accessing community resources.
While living at NuHouse, youth are expected to participate in education, employment, vocational training, or other activities aligned with their transition plan. Youth work alongside staff to set goals, strengthen decision-making and self-advocacy skills, build supportive community connections, and prepare for greater independence and stable housing.
